Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a stunning kitchen/diner that beautifully merges traditional elements with contemporary design. Features like light cabinetry, trendy tiles, and exposed beams create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for casual breakfasts before venturing out. The kitchen is fully equipped for culinary endeavors, boasting two ovens and a stone-floored porch for storing outdoor gear. Adjacent to the kitchen, the formal dining room impresses with its double-height vaulted ceilings and rich furnishings, while a staircase leads to a secluded king-size bedroom, providing a peaceful retreat away from the main living areas.
The property also includes a bright sunroom filled with comfortable seating, ideal for relaxation with views of the surrounding gardens. In the newer wing, a second kitchen with a large Range oven opens into an expansive living area adorned with exposed beams and abundant natural light from its windows and double doors. This inviting space features plush sofas, a wood burner, and a stylish dining table, making it perfect for social gatherings. A corridor leads to a utility room and an additional open-plan living area and library, complete with a sandstone wall and entertainment options such as a TV/DVD and Wii console.
Upstairs, the older wing hosts two well-appointed bedrooms, including a luxurious main bedroom with a super king-size zip and link bed and an en suite shower that doubles as a dressing room. The second bedroom can also be configured to meet guest needs. The newer wing features an airy landing and two more elegantly decorated bedrooms, each offering stunning views and modern amenities. The outdoor grounds are equally impressive, featuring expansive lawns, a sunken pond, and a sociable decking area, all surrounded by breathtaking views of the fells. With a gliding school nearby, guests can enjoy the spectacle of gliders soaring above on clear days, adding to the charm of this unique property.
