Further north lies the historic village of Warkworth, known for its impressive medieval castle and the annual Puffin Festival held in May, which adds a festive atmosphere to the area. The cottage itself is designed for convenience, as all accommodation is situated on the ground floor, making it suitable for guests with restricted mobility. The entrance hall leads to a cozy lounge equipped with two comfortable sofas and a wood burner, perfect for relaxing evenings. Entertainment options include a DVD player, CD player, and an iPod dock, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The dining room, which offers lovely views of the front garden, features a table and chairs for six, along with a desk and another wood burner for added warmth. A step down from the dining area leads to a modern kitchen, fully equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine, all while providing views of the expansive rear garden. The accommodation comprises a master bedroom with a double bed and dual aspect windows, a second double bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath, accessible via two stairs.
Outside, guests can enjoy a fenced patio area complete with a table, chairs, and a BBQ, along with half an acre of grassed paddock featuring a bird watching and star gazing hut, affectionately named 'The Cherry Tree Arms.' This outdoor space includes a fire pit and football goals, encouraging plenty of outdoor activities.
