Located in the charming village of Findochty, Banffshire, this delightful harbour front property, originally a fisherman’s cottage, offers a serene escape for up to four guests. Just a short stroll from the nearest beach, visitors can enjoy the picturesque surroundings, taking leisurely walks along the harbour or indulging in refreshments at the local establishments. The cottage itself is a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort, featuring a thoughtfully decorated interior that complements its seaside location. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a hallway with ample space for coats and shoes. To the left lies a cozy lounge, furnished with comfortable seating for relaxation after a day of exploration. The lounge is equipped with a TV/DVD for entertainment, and an inviting open fire provides warmth on cooler evenings, creating a perfect atmosphere for unwinding.
Across from the lounge, the well-equipped kitchen/diner allows guests to prepare meals with ease, featuring appliances such as an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The dining area offers breathtaking sea views, enhancing the dining experience as guests can watch boats maneuvering in and out of the harbour. The first floor houses two bedrooms—one double and one twin—both boasting lovely sea views and the opportunity to witness spectacular sunsets over the Caithness hills. A small study area is conveniently located between the two rooms, while a bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the accommodation.
Outside, the cottage presents stunning sea views from the front, allowing guests to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the harbour. Access to the rear garden is available via a gate at the side of the house, featuring a tiered south-facing patio that serves as a suntrap—ideal for al fresco dining in the evening sun. A summer house provides a cozy retreat during chillier weather. Roadside parking is available, subject to availability, either in front of the property, at the harbour wall, or by the pier, ensuring convenience for guests exploring the beautiful surroundings of Findochty.
