With a rich history dating back to Elizabethan times, Colleton Hall was significantly upgraded by Sir James Roupell Colleton in 1833, who enhanced its Georgian features. The current owners have fully refurbished the property, maintaining its original character while integrating modern interiors and furnishings. Accommodating up to twelve guests across six well-appointed bedrooms, the Hall features grand reception rooms that overlook the expansive grounds, along with a large family kitchen equipped for culinary enthusiasts. The first floor includes three king-size doubles, two double rooms, and a children’s bunk bed room, each with en-suite facilities, offering comfort and privacy for all guests.
The East Wing serves as a separate annex, accommodating an additional six guests, bringing the total capacity to eighteen. This stylish space includes a private entrance, living room, kitchen, and three bedrooms, making it ideal for families or guests seeking extra privacy. The expansive south-facing grounds provide breathtaking countryside views and opportunities for leisurely walks through the private woodland, where guests can enjoy wildlife spotting, including red deer and various bird species. The outdoor space is complemented by a hot tub, enhancing the overall experience for large gatherings and celebrations.
Nearby villages such as Nomansland, Rackenford, and Witheridge offer essential amenities, including excellent pubs and restaurants, with the Michelin-starred Mason Arms just a short drive away. The historic market town of Tiverton, located 15 minutes away, features a castle, canal walk, and a diverse range of shops and eateries.
