Location map of 'Croyde Bay' Blue Flag certified beach
Croyde Beach lies between the headlands of Baggy Point to the North and Saunton Down to the South. Apart from rocky areas to the North and South (which are excellent for rock-pooling) the beach consists entirely of fine sand which is ideally suited for many sports and activities. Impressive sand dunes rise steeply along the full length of the sands which extend to more than half a mile in length. Good facilities and convenient parking make this a popular beach for both holiday makers and local residents.Croyde is well know as a great surf spot and has been widely described as 'Probably the best beach break in the UK'. This is reflected by the presence of several great surf schools and numerous board hire and surf wear shops around the village. It is also popular for bodyboarding and paddleboarding. In the summer beach volleyball courts can be found in the central area of the beach with frequent competitions taking place.FROM A361 TAKE B231 AT BRAUNTON.
