Originally built as a small barn during a collaborative barn-raising project, it has been stylishly extended by John, featuring underfloor heating for added comfort. The cabin is situated within the picturesque Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and includes a spacious deck that overlooks the surrounding fields, complete with a hammock and BBQ for outdoor enjoyment. The property is dog-friendly and offers ample parking, making it a perfect retreat for families or groups looking to explore the rural landscape.

The interior of Field End is designed for ease and accessibility, with all amenities located on the ground floor. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an open-plan kitchen and living area that features a cozy fireplace, a comfortable sofa, and a dining table suitable for 4-6 guests. The two king-sized bedrooms can be configured into singles if needed, with one room boasting an en-suite shower and the other benefiting from a high window that allows natural light to flood in. Additional conveniences include a general bathroom with a shower and the availability of a cot upon request.

Outside, double doors lead from the kitchen to the deck, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living. The deck is equipped with seating for more than eight guests, a BBQ, and a sunshade, making it ideal for gatherings amidst nature. Field End is part of a larger site known as Potato Town, which includes other properties, one of which is The Artists House, allowing for combined bookings that can accommodate up to 12 guests. The owners, Pam and John, reside on the property, providing assistance when needed and sharing their passion for hosting memorable experiences while promoting eco-friendly practices.

Field End serves as a gateway to the stunning Cotswold countryside, with easy access to nearby villages such as Swerford and Great Tew, where guests can enjoy local cuisine at the Boxing Hare. Within a short drive, visitors can explore charming towns like Stow on the Wold and Burford, as well as attractions like the famous Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Organic Farmshop. The area is rich in cultural highlights, including National Trust properties and historic sites such as Blenheim Palace. While a car is necessary for getting around, the nearest train stations provide convenient access to London, making Field End an ideal base for both relaxation and exploration in the Heart of England.
