Welcome to the Woodlands Bell Tent at Herigerbi Park, a serene campsite located in the picturesque hamlet of Harrowby, just three miles from Grantham and a scenic 45-minute drive from Lincoln. This basic yet spacious 4x4m Bell tent is nestled within a one-acre paddock surrounded by lush woodlands, offering breathtaking views over the valley and an opportunity to observe local wildlife. Accommodating up to four guests, the tent is equipped with two inflatable camping beds, while guests must bring their own camping essentials such as linen, sleeping bags, pillows, and cooking equipment. Additional camping beds can be hired for an extra fee, making it a versatile option for various group sizes.
The campsite is designed for relaxation and tranquility, with a focus on maintaining a peaceful environment for all visitors, including backpackers, families, and couples. Hen and stag parties are not permitted to ensure a quiet atmosphere. Facilities include three wet toilets and one hot/cold shower, all well-maintained and illuminated by electric light. The grounds are meticulously kept, with the grass mown weekly, and access is convenient through five-bar gates directly off the road. A wildlife pond adds to the charm, although fishing is not allowed, preserving the natural habitat for local fauna.
For those looking to enjoy outdoor cooking, barbecues are encouraged, and a food shop located within a mile provides easy access to essential supplies. The campsite is classified as a quiet site, ensuring a peaceful experience for all guests. It is important to note that unisex toilet and shower facilities are available, and certain dog breeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are prohibited. Guests are advised that at least one member of the party must be 18 or older, and late arrivals should inform the management in advance, as the reception is unmanned after 9 p.m.
Previous visitors have lauded the site for its cleanliness and essential amenities, noting the well-equipped pot wash station and the proximity to lovely walking trails. Despite its closeness to the A1, guests have enjoyed the quietude of the site at night, making it a perfect getaway. Local landmarks such as Belton House and Woolsthorpe Manor, along with natural attractions like Rutland Water Country Park and Barnsdale Gardens, enhance the appeal of the area. We look forward to welcoming you to our Woodlands Bell Tent, where you can unwind and immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding woodlands.
