Accommodating up to eight guests, Tan y Coed Bothy provides a rustic lodging experience. The second room offers two single sleeping platforms, allowing for a cozy yet communal atmosphere. While the bothy has a toilet located in an outbuilding at the rear, it is important to note that there are no additional facilities available, prompting guests to bring their own airbeds, sleeping mats, bedding, and cooking equipment for a comfortable stay.

For those seeking a more adventurous experience, the location provides access to several hiking trails leading to the summit of Mount Snowdon. The Watkin Path, known as the most challenging route, is conveniently located about a 20-minute drive away, while the Llanberis Path offers a less strenuous option approximately 40 minutes away by car. These hiking opportunities cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring that both novice and experienced hikers can enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia National Park.
