8

Penparc, a homely retreat located in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales, was originally constructed as two cottages between 1905 and 1911. This distinctive property features a terracotta roof and snecked stone walls, accommodating up to eight guests and two dogs. Its proximity to the expansive Dinefwr estate and deer park makes it an ideal destination for large groups eager to explore the breathtaking countryside of West Wales, offering a perfect blend of comfort and adventure.

Upon entering through the gabled porch, guests are greeted by the first floor, which boasts a delightful kitchen and dining area, alongside a cozy living room adorned with a quarry-tiled floor and red-toned sofas. The living room is especially inviting with its woodburner, creating a warm atmosphere for relaxation after a day of exploration. This level also includes a shower room, a utility room, and a snug reading room, enhancing the overall comfort of the space.

Ascending to the upper floor, visitors will find four well-appointed bedrooms: two doubles with en-suite shower rooms—one of which has slightly restricted headroom—and two twin bedrooms. An additional bathroom is also available on this floor. Outside, the garden offers spectacular views across the valley and Dinefwr's extensive grounds, with a patio area furnished with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Penparc serves as a tranquil escape, encouraging guests to explore the rich offerings of the Dinefwr estate, including its historic house, ruined castle, and extensive footpaths across 800 acres of countryside. Nearby Llandeilo presents a delightful experience with its independent shops and diverse dining options. Additionally, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Welsh coast are just a short drive away, while the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park offers stunning waterfalls and the iconic Pen-y-Fan peaks for those seeking further outdoor adventures.
