Nestled in the charming village of Askrigg, North Yorkshire, this Grade II listed chapel is an idyllic retreat set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Accommodating up to eight guests, the property boasts a range of appealing features, including pet-friendly policies and proximity to local amenities such as three village pubs, a tearoom, and a shop, all within a short two-minute walk. The chapel's romantic allure is enhanced by its elegant architecture and picturesque surroundings, making it a perfect getaway for families and friends.

The interior of Askrigg Chapel is characterized by its reverse level design, with the open-plan living area located on the second floor. This space features vaulted exposed beam ceilings, oak wooden floors, and stunning arched stained glass windows that frame views of Wensleydale. A striking wrought iron staircase, crafted by Yorkshire sculptor Craig Dyson, serves as a focal point, leading guests from the impressive dining hall on the first floor to the spacious living area above. The dining hall is thoughtfully equipped with a table for four, ideal for games or casual meals.

On the first floor, guests will find two beautifully decorated bedrooms that reflect the chapel's sympathetic decor. The master bedroom includes a luxurious walk-in dressing room and an en-suite bathroom complete with a freestanding bath and a Hammam Turkish-style steam room. The second bedroom also features an en-suite shower room. Descending the second wrought iron staircase brings guests to the ground floor, where additional accommodations include a super-king size bedroom with an en-suite and a delightful fourth bedroom, both overlooking the patio garden.

The second floor's magnificent open-plan living area is perfect for relaxation and entertainment, showcasing a contemporary fireplace and a bespoke bar. Ample seating surrounds the fireplace, while a large dining table for eight offers a stunning view through the arched stained glass windows. The well-appointed kitchen features granite worktops and modern appliances, making it a chef’s delight. Outside, the rear patio area provides two seating spots for alfresco dining and enjoying the scenic landscape, as well as a tranquil garden suite near a pond. Askrigg Chapel serves as a perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with numerous walking and cycling routes nearby, including the beautiful Askrigg Bottoms meadows, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.
