With a minimum stay of seven nights beginning on a Saturday, the cottage provides a tranquil retreat where time seems to stand still, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.

The cottage boasts a cozy and comfortable interior that has remained largely unchanged since the mid-18th century, featuring essential amenities like electricity, a fine bath, and a separate loo. The absence of central heating is compensated by a kitchen Rayburn and a wood burner in the sitting room, creating a warm atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to bring their own entertainment, such as a laptop for films, as there is no television. The cottage is pet-friendly, welcoming both small and larger dogs, and provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities with space for wellies, bikes, and even a light boat for water adventures.

Since the policy change in late 2017, guests no longer need to handle their own caretaking, as the rental price now includes the services of Pat, who manages changeovers, laundry, and cleaning. However, mobile reception can be spotty, requiring visitors to walk a short distance for a signal, though the cottage is equipped with a telephone and fast broadband, bridging the gap between rustic charm and modern convenience.
