Ynyswen No.1 is an enchanting cottage located in Myddfai, Dyfed, within the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. This recently restored retreat, completed in 2022, accommodates up to six guests in three well-appointed bedrooms. The cottage combines modern comforts with rustic features, including stained glass panels crafted by the owner, Lesley, and a welcoming log-burner. The expansive gardens and surrounding countryside offer a perfect backdrop for outdoor activities such as hiking, stargazing, cycling, and bird watching, making it an ideal getaway for families. Additionally, for larger groups, the cottage can be combined with its neighbor, Ynyswen No.2, to accommodate up to 12 guests.

The sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully designed, featuring a master bedroom with a super king-sized divan bed and stunning countryside views, complemented by an ensuite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms also offer super king-sized beds that can be converted into singles upon request, each with ample storage and beautiful views. The main family bathroom on the first floor includes a modern walk-in shower and a separate bath, while a stylish downstairs WC adds convenience. The attention to detail in the layout and design of the cottage is evident, reflecting the owners' dedication to creating a comfortable and inviting space.

In terms of living space, the cottage boasts a spacious hallway leading to a cozy living room, complete with a stone fireplace and a variety of entertainment options, including a SMART TV and a selection of DVDs and games. The modern kitchen diner is bright and well-equipped for family meals, featuring all necessary appliances and a large dining table that seats six, ideal for gatherings. Myddfai itself is a historical village known for its connection to the Physicians of Myddfai, who practiced herbal medicine for centuries. The nearby town of Llandovery offers an enchanting atmosphere with traditional shops and local attractions, while Llandeilo, just 20 minutes away, is renowned for its vibrant market and unique shops. The region is rich in history, with notable sites like Dinefwr Castle and Castell Carreg Cennen nearby, as well as the Dolaucothi Gold Mine, where visitors can explore underground and try gold panning.
