Plosh House, located in Keswick, Cumberland, is a beautifully converted stone property that once served as a boat building workshop, dating back to around 1840. This charming dwelling accommodates up to six guests across three stylishly furnished bedrooms, blending contemporary conveniences with traditional character. The property boasts a unique location, offering both proximity to the town center and a private setting complete with its own parking and an enclosed garden, making it an ideal retreat for families or groups looking to explore the Lake District.

The interior of Plosh House is spread over two floors and features high-quality furnishings throughout, highlighted by Farrow & Ball colors, original wood and slate floors, and underfloor heating for added comfort. Upon entering through the stone porch, guests are welcomed into an open-plan living space that showcases bespoke kitchen units, granite worktops, and a range cooker. The living area is designed for relaxation, equipped with plush seating and a Smart TV, while a breakfast bar and dining area provide spaces for shared meals. A utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a cloakroom, further enhance the practicality of the ground floor, which also includes a king-size bedroom with an en-suite WC.

Ascending the staircase, adorned with a handrail made from original oars, leads guests to the first floor, where a Mediterranean-styled sitting room awaits. This spacious area features a large gable ceiling, three windows for natural light, and a Juliet balcony that can be opened on sunny days. A woodburning stove adds warmth during colder months, creating a cozy atmosphere for movie nights. The first floor also houses a large family bathroom with an impressive freestanding cast iron bath, alongside two additional super-king-size bedrooms, one of which can be configured as a twin upon request and includes a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower room.

Outside, the enclosed garden offers a south-facing space perfect for enjoying the summer sun, complete with a gazebo for shade. Guests can easily venture into the nearby town center of Keswick, where a variety of shops, pubs, and restaurants await. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore Derwentwater for sailing and watersports or enjoy scenic walks and cycling around the lake. Notable viewpoints such as Surprise View and the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle offer picturesque experiences, while the more challenging hikes of Skiddaw and Blencathra provide opportunities for breathtaking views. With attractions like Bassenthwaite, Mirehouse & Gardens, Ullswater, and Scafell Pike within driving distance, Plosh House serves as a perfect base for a memorable getaway in the Lake District.
