The village itself offers basic amenities as well as a station where steam trains from Swanage stop after puffing through the valley to Wareham. Swanage is only 3.5 miles away and offers a wider range of facilities as well as access to the beautiful Dorset coastline, including a sandy beach. The little ones will love Putland Adventure Farm, a working farm where they can meet the animals, ride on tractors and enjoy the outdoor playground. Further up the coast is Studland, where you can spot Old Harry Rocks off the coast or explore Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserve and miles of sandy beaches along to Sandbanks, across from the Poole Harbour entrance.
