Severn Barn, located in the serene northern section of the Attingham Estate in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, is a charming countryside retreat designed to accommodate up to five guests. This converted barn, originally constructed in the early 1900s to shelter livestock at the former Berwick New House farm, has been thoughtfully transformed into a bright and inviting space that retains much of its rustic character. Surrounded by 4,000 acres of picturesque parkland, farmland, and woodland, it offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers and families alike.

Inside Severn Barn, guests will find a well-designed layout that maximizes comfort and functionality. The ground floor features a welcoming hallway that leads into a spacious kitchen with a dining area, perfect for family meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a cozy sitting room equipped with a woodburning stove, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploration. A convenient downstairs toilet adds to the practicality of the space, while the upstairs houses two inviting bedrooms, including a family room with a king-size bed and a single bed, and a separate double bedroom. The first floor also includes a family bathroom, enhancing the barn's suitability for groups.

The communal outdoor area shared by the five barns includes a well-maintained enclosed garden, complete with a lawn, a firepit for barbecues, and a dining patio, making it a perfect spot for social gatherings. Additional amenities such as electric car charging points, a bicycle storage facility, and a dog shower cater to the needs of active guests. The estate is rich in opportunities for outdoor activities, featuring numerous walking and cycling routes, as well as waterways that enhance the natural beauty of the surroundings, including a canal that leads to Berwick Wharf.

Guests at Severn Barn enjoy complimentary access to the Attingham Park's Regency Mansion, Walled Garden, and Field of Play, along with other National Trust properties in the vicinity during their opening hours. The parkland is accessible at any time throughout the stay, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the scenic landscape. Additionally, the Attingham Carriage House Café, Stables Shop, and a second-hand bookshop are open daily, providing convenient options for dining and shopping during their visit.
