Located just a few miles from the charming market town of Keswick in Cumbria, this traditional stone house offers a perfect retreat for up to five guests. Nestled between the scenic landmarks of Skiddaw and Derwentwater, the property provides easy access to a variety of outdoor activities, including kayaking and canoeing on Derwentwater, as well as hiking in the picturesque North Lakes region. Keswick itself boasts a delightful array of restaurants, dog-friendly pubs, and independent shops, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. One of the highlights of the region is the annual mountain festival, typically held in May or June, which features world-class sports, outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music beside the lake.

The house is designed for comfort and convenience, beginning with a welcoming lobby that leads into a spacious hallway. The cozy lounge features a wood burner and a Smart TV, providing stunning views of the surrounding fells. For dining, guests can gather around the elegant teak table in the large formal dining room, which adjoins a bright, modern kitchen equipped with an oil Aga, electric hob and oven, integrated dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and microwave. Additionally, a separate WC and a utility room with drying space and a washer/dryer enhance the home's practicality.

On the first floor, guests are greeted by breathtaking views from the landing. This level includes two en suite bedrooms: a double room with a small TV and en suite shower room, and a family room that features both a double and a single bed, also with a small TV and en suite shower room. The thoughtful layout ensures that guests can enjoy both privacy and comfort during their stay. Outside, the property offers a small covered storage area for bikes and outdoor gear, as well as a raised patio with seating that overlooks the beautiful fields and fells, perfect for enjoying a book or a morning coffee.

The outdoor space is further complemented by an enclosed garden area at the back of the house, where bird feeders often attract resident red squirrels, adding to the charm of the surroundings. For those traveling by car, there is private parking available for up to two vehicles, ensuring that guests have convenient access to explore the breathtaking landscapes and attractions nearby. This delightful property combines traditional features with modern amenities, making it an ideal choice for families or friends looking to experience the natural beauty of the North of England.
