Originally built in the 1700s at Smethcote Farm, this countryside retreat accommodates up to four guests, offering a blend of historical architecture and modern comfort. The barn's design features stunning wooden beams and king-post trusses, complemented by light, airy walls. Glazed original large doors provide scenic views of the surrounding farmland, enhancing the tranquil ambiance of the space.

Inside, guests are welcomed by a hallway that leads to a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy sitting room featuring a dining area and a woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing evenings. The ground floor also includes a convenient WC. Ascending to the upper level, visitors will find two inviting double bedrooms along with a family bathroom that includes both a bath and a shower, ensuring comfort and convenience for all guests.

The outdoor area of Smethcote Barn is equally appealing, sharing a spacious walled garden with the adjacent Threshing Barn. This garden boasts a well-maintained lawn and a wildflower meadow that attracts local wildlife, creating a serene natural environment. Additionally, two Dutch barns from around 1900 provide shade and shelter. A private seating area within the garden is screened for privacy and features a fire pit with a barbecue grill, making it an ideal spot for outdoor gatherings and relaxation.

Guests at Smethcote Barn can take advantage of numerous walking trails throughout the estate, with the national cycle route conveniently located nearby. The stay includes free access to the stunning Attingham Park, which features a Regency Mansion, Walled Garden, Deer Park, and Field of Play, as well as entry to other National Trust properties in the vicinity.
