Nestled in Newtown on the Isle of Wight, this charming two-bedroom cabin retreat offers a serene escape for birdwatchers and walkers alike. Originally constructed in the 1930s for oyster processing, the cabin has been transformed into a cozy haven with stunning estuary views. Surrounded by nature, guests can enjoy the company of rare butterflies and red squirrels, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts. The cabin accommodates four guests comfortably, featuring a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, along with a shower room and a delightful kitchen/dining area.

Upon entering the cabin, visitors are greeted by a contemporary color scheme that harmonizes with its surroundings in the National Nature Reserve, the only one on the island. The spacious living room, complete with a woodburner, provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Outside, a small garden offers expansive views of the estuary, where guests can savor the scenery from the outdoor table and chairs, ideal for enjoying al fresco meals amidst the tranquil landscape.

The surrounding area is rich with opportunities for exploration, featuring former salt pans that now serve as a sanctuary for various rare and unusual species. Guests can embark on scenic walks through flower-filled meadows, along coastal paths, and through enchanting woodlands. For beach lovers, nearby Compton and Brook beaches offer dog-friendly sandy stretches perfect for a leisurely seaside day, with excellent waves for surfing and body boarding.

For local amenities, the closest pub is in Shalfleet, while the picturesque town of Yarmouth, approximately five miles away, boasts cobbled streets, a deli, grocery store, coffee shops, and more pubs. A short 15-minute drive leads to Cowes, renowned for its annual Cowes Week regatta. History enthusiasts will appreciate visits to National Trust sites such as Mottistone, known for its beautiful gardens, and Needles Battery, which features a secret rocket testing site.
