Additionally, Somerford Lagoon, recognized as an internationally significant site for wintering wildfowl, allows only non-powered water sports from April 1st to September 30th. Access to the footpath along the southern and eastern edges of the lagoon is restricted from October 1st to March 31st to protect the wildlife. However, Spinney Lake remains available for non-powered water sports year-round.
