Half of this land consists of a beautiful wooded valley, where the Nant Arberth river flows. Guests are encouraged to enjoy leisurely walks along the woodland trail that winds through the valley, providing opportunities for dogs to splash in the river. This peaceful setting allows visitors to immerse themselves in nature, with the chance to observe wildlife such as buzzards, red kites, and even badgers or foxes.

Cottage Pie is conveniently located just over five minutes from the town of Cardigan, where guests can access supermarkets, shops, pubs, a cinema, and a leisure center. The cottage is also less than 15 minutes from several sandy beaches, including Mwnt, Aberporth, and Poppit Sands. Additionally, it serves as an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking Ceredigion Heritage Coast, known for its resident dolphins and seals, or venturing south to Pembrokeshire's National Coastal Park for stunning scenery.

Accommodating up to four guests, Cottage Pie features two bedrooms—one double and one twin—both situated on the ground floor, making it potentially suitable for those with limited mobility. The cottage includes a well-equipped open-plan living area with a sitting area, kitchen, and dining space, as well as a bathroom with a bath and shower. Outside, guests can enjoy their own garden space with a picnic bench and shared access to the expansive field. For those traveling with family or friends, Cottage Pie can be booked alongside its neighbor, Shepherds Pie, for an extended stay.
