The cottage itself is accessed via a gravel farm track and retains many original features, such as exposed beams, which add to its rustic charm. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a traditional lounge/diner that features comfortable seating and a welcoming wood burner, creating a cozy atmosphere. The dining area is elegantly designed, making it perfect for enjoying meals in style. The fully equipped kitchen further enhances the property’s appeal, providing modern amenities such as an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, ensuring a convenient stay.
On the first floor, guests will find two inviting bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a double bed, a feature fireplace, and an en suite bathroom with a luxurious freestanding bath and a hand-held shower. The second bedroom is a comfortable twin room, also featuring a fireplace, and has its own en suite shower room with a walk-in shower area. Ascending to the second floor reveals a spacious open-plan lounge and living area, adorned with original wooden beams, ample seating, and a TV and DVD for entertainment. This floor also includes a separate living area with a sofa bed, a bookcase filled with novels, and the property's original granary wheel, providing both comfort and character.
Outside, the cottage boasts a delightful enclosed patio area, furnished with a wooden table, chairs, and a chiminea, perfect for enjoying the fresh air. For added convenience, parking is available for one car at the front of the property. With its proximity to local attractions such as Warkworth Castle, Coquet Island, and the medieval Warkworth Hermitage, this cottage serves as an ideal base for exploring the rich history and natural beauty of Northumberland.
