The surrounding area is now designated as the RSPB’s Oa nature reserve, which is teeming with diverse birdlife, including choughs, peregrine falcons, and golden eagles. The Mull of Oa is renowned for its breathtaking and rugged coastline, open moorland, and tranquil freshwater lochs, making Lenavore an ideal retreat for couples seeking a serene getaway amidst natural beauty.

The accommodation at Lenavore is designed to comfortably sleep up to four guests, featuring a spacious double bedroom and a smaller twin room, suitable for couples or families with children. The cottage is equipped with central heating and a cozy open fire, with a complimentary bag of fuel provided for guests. The lounge area is generously sized, offering two sofas and ample space for relaxation. The well-equipped kitchen provides all necessary amenities for meal preparation, and the bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower. Additionally, all bed linen and towels are supplied, and there is parking available for up to two cars.

Guests can also enjoy the expansive garden, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. However, it is important for prospective visitors to note a few limitations: the cottage does not have Wi-Fi, although internet access can be found at the nearby ‘Cyber Café’ in Port Ellen and other locations on the island. Furthermore, due to its remote setting, mobile phone reception is limited at the cottage, but can typically be accessed by traveling a short distance toward Port Ellen, depending on the network provider. Additionally, pets are not permitted in the cottage.
