Old Mealhouse Cottage, dating back to the 1800's is an absolutely gorgeous Grade II brick and flint bijou bolthole for two, located in the very heart of the coastal village of Blakeney. Super-stylish, spacious, romantic and the perfect hideaway all year round, Old Mealhouse Cottage is superbly located to discover this wonderful area of North Norfolk.
With exposed walls and beams, Old Mealhouse Cottage combines the past with modern day sassy living. Open-plan, Old Mealhouse Cottage boasts a well-equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, a dining table for two, and a sitting room with a Smart television plus a cosy wood burning stove - absolutely wonderful for the winter months when you want to hunker down with the dogs! Upstairs is a lovely, light and airy bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and king-size bed, and the bathroom offers a bath with a shower over. There is a sweet little courtyard (not enclosed) to the front of the cottage with a bistro table and chairs, ideal for the summer sun and your morning coffee after a pastry run to the Two Magpies Bakery, or for an evening sundowner as you decide where to have supper. Set just behind the High Street, you'll have peace and quiet - and your own parking space! - with the hustle and bustle of the High Street and its many amenities including independent pubs, cafes and delis, and picturesque quay are just seconds away on foot.
Within minutes from the cottage you are at Blakeney National Nature Reserve and Blakeney Point, home to England's largest grey seal colony as well as a multitude of other wildlife. The village of Blakeney itself is labyrinth of characterful fishermen's cottages, narrow streets and a delightful harbour thronged with families gillying for crabs, sailors, birders, walkers and artists.
