Enjoy Salmon and Trout fishing on the bonnie River Tweed, explore the Eildon hills, Southern Upland Way and nearby renowned Glentress Forest. Visit Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, Old Gala House and the magnificent Thirlestane Castle or take a short train journey from Tweedbank station to the elegant city of Edinburgh. Relax in the comfortable sumptuous lounge after a day out exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoy a great movie on the Smart TV and on those cooler evenings light up the roaring wood burner. The bespoke well equipped kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a storm with an electric oven and hob, fridge with icebox, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a comfortable dining area to enjoy romantic meals. Continuing back through the hall you are met with the luxurious light and bright king size bedroom with a fantastic free standing roll top bath to relax and unwind in an en suite WC. Finally completing the wonderful accommodation is the snug with desk and seating area. The perfect place to enjoy a good book with a telephone book exchange located adjacent to the property. Venturing outside with direct access at the side of the cottage is the lovely, enclosed garden. A real sun trap, with seating area and a charcoal BBQ. Enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or lazy evening star gazing, perhaps with a nice glass of wine, good local ale or a wee dram. At the bottom of the garden, there is also a pretty burn that is completely fenced off. On street parking is available (subject to availability). Secure facility for bikes on request.
