Nestled within the Rowley Estates farmland, both the farmhouse and the cottage provide breathtaking views and ample outdoor space for exploration.
The farmhouse is tastefully furnished to a high standard, featuring six en-suite bedrooms, two inviting wood-burning stoves, and a traditional Aga in the kitchen, which is equipped with a side-by-side fridge. A unique highlight is the dining room table, which can be converted into a half-size snooker table, allowing guests to enjoy leisurely evenings honing their potting skills. Vale Croft, constructed from local sandstone, boasts an open-plan living area that is flooded with natural light during the day and offers warmth and comfort at night, complete with a sandstone fireplace, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen.
Melmerby itself is a charming village that enhances the appeal of this getaway. It features a quaint post office tea room shop, an antique shop with reasonable prices, and The Old Village Bakery, which serves delicious breakfasts, lunches, and homemade treats in a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, The Shepherd's Inn, a welcoming village pub, offers a delightful dining experience, all within a short walking distance from the farmhouse and cottage, making it convenient for guests to enjoy local amenities.
For larger groups, Todd Hills Farmhouse can be booked independently, accommodating 12 guests, while Vale Croft can also be reserved, allowing for a total of 14. Adjacent to these properties is Gill Beck Barn, which sleeps an additional 6 guests.
