Guests can enjoy the serene surroundings, which include seven duck ponds and village stores offering local produce, all within a short walking distance.
The lodge is part of the historic Hill Farm Massingham Estate, which dates back to the 1880s. One of its unique attractions is the tame, hand-fed herd of breeding deer that roam the property, providing a charming backdrop that can be appreciated from every window. Visitors can witness the deer during their evening strolls to the pond, enhancing the tranquil experience of the countryside setting. The lodge itself boasts five spacious en-suite bedrooms and various communal areas adorned with mood lighting and elegant artwork, making it an ideal retreat for family gatherings or friends' getaways.
Designed for comfort and relaxation, Red Stag Lodge features warm open-plan living spaces equipped with underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, ensuring a cozy atmosphere throughout the year. The expansive kitchen, complete with a central island, a handcrafted dining table, and a bespoke antler chandelier, facilitates effortless entertaining. Guests can unwind in a cozy corner furnished with low-lit lamps and leather armchairs, or enjoy movie nights on a large 50-inch Smart television, with ample seating available for everyone.
For larger groups, the Hill Farm Massingham estate offers flexibility in accommodation, as all three barns can be booked individually or in combination. Fallow Folly accommodates 7 guests, while The Owl House can host 10. Although access to Red Stag Lodge is external, the interlinked nature of Fallow Folly and The Owl House allows for seamless gatherings, together sleeping up to 31 people. This versatility, combined with the lodge's luxurious features and beautiful surroundings, makes it a perfect destination for memorable group retreats.
