Found in the charming village of Upwell, Norfolk, The Chapel is a stunning vacation home that accommodates up to 12 guests across five spacious bedrooms. Originally built in 1803, this beautifully converted chapel features large social spaces designed for entertaining family and friends. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an expansive drawing room that includes two lounge areas, a dining space, and a grand staircase leading to the first floor. The main lounge is centered around an impressive stone fireplace, equipped with an 18kw wood burner, while the second lounge offers a cozy spot to bask in morning sunlight and enjoy views of the river.

The country kitchen is a highlight of the home, featuring a separate pantry and utility room, as well as a cloakroom for convenience. Equipped with a six-gas ring electric double range oven, it also includes a dining table that comfortably seats ten. French doors open to the garden, where outdoor lounging areas await, complete with an open fireplace, dining table, and a Weber drum BBQ. For those with boating interests, a private mooring is conveniently located at the front of the house, making it an ideal retreat for water enthusiasts.

On the first floor, guests will find four generously sized double bedrooms, all furnished with king-sized beds and memory foam mattresses. The master suite features a super king-sized bed, while the two front bedrooms offer picturesque views of the river. Additionally, a large wet room with a rainfall shower and a luxurious bathroom with a roll-top bath provide ample facilities for relaxation. A spiral staircase leads to the second floor, where exposed beams and another lounge area create a cozy retreat. This space includes an open-plan master suite with a fifth king-sized bed and two occasional guest beds, complemented by a large lounge area equipped with a 48" Samsung smart TV and a Sonos music system throughout the house.

The Chapel is conveniently situated near local amenities, including three pubs, a post office, a convenience store, a butcher, and a fish and chips shop, all within walking distance. Guests can enjoy scenic walks along the river and through orchards, as well as a nearby park with a child-friendly enclosure. The village also boasts a 12th-century church and a narrowboat company that offers day trips right from the doorstep. For those looking to explore further, popular destinations such as Hunstanton and Holkham beaches are just an hour's drive away, while Sandringham is a 45-minute drive. Additionally, Downham Market, with trains to London, is only a ten-minute drive, and Ely is a short 30-minute journey, making The Chapel an ideal base for exploring the beautiful East of England.
