Why not make a day of it and explore nearby bustling Welshpool with its railway museum, steam railway and canal sidewalks as well as the renowned Powis Castle and gardens? You can take in the sights of Snowdonia National Park or travel into Shropshire and discover the unspoilt Shropshire Hills and the towns of Oswestry and Shrewsbury.
