Town: Fordingbridge is a traditional Hampshire town on the banks of the River Avon, and offers a good mix of shops, pubs and restaurants, a small museum of local history and a display of original work by the artist Augustus John, who lived here for many years. The medieval Great Bridge, with seven graceful arches, is a major feature of the town. The immediate area is a wonderful place for visitors, with its beautiful scenery, nature havens, cycleways and welcoming people. Fordingbridge is conveniently situated for the magnificent cathedral city of Salisbury to the north, and the super seaside resort of Bournemouth to the south. The stunning New Forest National Park is only 1.5 miles from the town, where you can explore thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodland frequented by wild ponies, and dotted with quaint villages and country pubs. Within a short drive is the magnificent Elizabethan manor house at Breamore, as well as the New Forest Water Park, and a trip to Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum is not to be missed. This is a great location for exploring this picturesque and interesting area.

Located in Ringwood, this cottage is in a rural area and on a lake. Edmondsham House and Gardens and Parley Manor are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Go Ape at Moors Valley Ringwood and Burley Golf Club. Paultons Family Theme Park - Home of Peppa Pig World and Liberty's Owl Raptor and Reptile Centre are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking.
