They say the heart of the home is the kitchen and The Retreat is no exception. It has a beautifully large dining table situated by large French doors that lets the sunshine flood into the farmhouse style kitchen dining room. Here you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee whilst enjoying the view of the garden and the ocean at the same time listening to the local bird song.
The dining room has an extendable table that can sit up to twelve people as well as a 2-seater sofa and a log burner for additional heating or even just for the enjoyment of sitting by the fire when the nights grow colder. Any time of the year is perfect for the Retreat, it has a feel to it that will melt away stress, and with it being five bedrooms, it can be enjoyed with friends and family. There is enough space to fit two possibly even three cars in the driveway. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric Aga, and all the usual mod cons like a kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine and cooking utensils, an abundance of knives, forks, pots, pans & plates etc
There is a utility room which has a second sink, oil boiler, separate fridge, freezer, as well as a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Additionally, there is a downstairs toilet with a unique champaign cork flush button, and a little stand on step for toddlers who need the extra boost!
The living room is warm and spacious with two large sofas and a leather armchair. Here will also find a flat screen TV and PlayStation! Ideal for keeping the kids entertained. The full, floor to ceiling bay window, lets loads of natural light in and sitting here, you can enjoy views of the garden and the ocean at the same time.
Moving upstairs to the first floor you will find 3 bedrooms, the spacious master bedroom, which has a large double bed and views over the sea and surrounding area. The kid’s bedroom has 2 single beds as well as an additional two truckle beds tucked away under the twins. The third bedroom has a double bed and is situated at the front of the house. Additionally on this floor you will find 2 separate bathrooms, 1 with a shower and the other with a lovely looking bath ideal for relaxing after a long day of exploring the local beaches.
On this same floor this an office desk for those of you who still need to get a bit of work done whist enjoying your holiday!
Moving up to the third floor, there are another 2 bedrooms - one contains two single beds and the one contains a double. Both rooms have windows that offer unparalleled views over the ocean, garden, and the beach. Bring some binoculars as you won’t want to miss any of this spectacular view. No two days are ever the same.
Outside the property offers an outside dining table, a BBQ, a fire pit, and a dog bed style sofa where you can sip your evening cocktails watching the sun go down (not guaranteed in Wales)
If you are into star gazing, this area has very little light pollution and locally you can find some of the best views of the stars in the area.
Finally, we welcome well behaved dogs to the house but ask that they are kept downstairs and that you clean up after them.
The Retreat really is a place to get a way from it all and is ideal for families who want tons on activities on their doorstep. Swimming, surfing, sandcastles, rock pooling, fishing, crabbing, catching prawns and lobsters are all just a few minutes away from this special house.
