Neighborhood

Snuggled between Kensington and Fulham, Earls Court, is in a great location with easy access to the city centre as well as west and southwest London. The area is packed with street after street of beautiful four and five story terraced flats. The area’s colourful houses are some of the brightest in London, and there are a lot of little mews streets to get lost in. For the cultural side of things, there are boutique art galleries on Coleherne Road and Hollywood Road, or slightly further afield there are the Victoria and Albert and Science Museums.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the Earl's Court Road, boasting various cuisines from all around the world, as well as some traditional English pubs and bars. A melting pot of different cultures and cuisines, Earls Court boasts a wealth of independent and chain restaurants. One of the best is 222 Veggie Vegan, led by talented chef Ben Asamani, where even the most ardent carnivore will find something to suit. The Harwood Arms Fulham was the first Michelin starred pub in London, and its set menu has remained reasonably priced. Popular for lunch, Addie's Thai serves traditional Bangkok street food in a cosy setting. And Earl’s Court has one of the best secret bars in London. Evans & Peel Detective Agency is a proper speakeasy, complete with an unmarked entrance, passwords, and false identities. Oh, and good cocktails. For the musicians of the area, there is the renowned Troubadour venue, while outdoor activities can be indulged at Hyde Park.

Transit

Earl's Court is extremely well connected for local transport and further afield. The tube station is the only connection on the District line that can go North, East, South and West. The Piccadilly and Circle lines also run from Earls Court (Heathrow is 40 minutes on the Piccadilly line). The Overground service gives another transport link to other areas of London, and connects to Imperial Wharf and Clapham Junction. There are numerous bus routes, taking you to Kensington, Notting Hill, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Victoria, Ealing and Chiswick to name a few. Also, the District line, Southern Railway and London Overground run at West Brompton and the District line runs at Fulham Broadway providing incredibly convenient transport links.
