The Lake House Retreat - 7 Bedroom Holiday Home - Sleeps 20 - Southgate, Southgate

Dyfed. Sleeps up to 20

The Lake house retreat is one of the most magical properties we have seen in a long time. This large double house is suitable for many events, gatherings, weddings and even some stag and hen parties with a recommendation. It has a beautiful rustic feel to the interior with wooden floors and traditional styling mixed with some stunning art pieces. Recently renovated The Lake House Retreat won’t disappoint and has many regular guests who come back year after year to enjoy its breath-taking aesthetic and unique charm.
The property itself has plenty of onsite parking, 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and even a sauna to make your break complete. Set in 35 acres of natural forest, pastureland & flower meadow with a large private lake. The house dates to the 17th Century, in the last 7 years, it has been expanded & modernised into a comfortable and spacious abode. There has been a private nature reserve at the farm for some years and access to this 10-acre site is available to guests.

We are situated just inside the Gower Peninsula with its many and famous beaches, The Gower itself is Britain’s first ever A.O.N.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) being preserved over 50 years ago. The farm is flanked on one side by beautiful common land which is grazed by wild horses.

To the east, two of Swansea’s best golf courses lead into Clyne Country Park which separates the area from Swansea itself, the city being a 15 minute drive from the property. The picturesque fishing village of Mumbles is a 10 minute drive away, making this property the most conveniently located accommodation of its type on the Peninsula.

Activities

The area is popular for outdoor pursuits; the following are available locally and can be organised for guests: surfing, sailing. kite boarding, golf, tennis, mountain biking, sea kayaking, mountain boarding, wilderness adventures, horse riding, archery, sky diving, helicopter flights and much more.
