Dolly Plum Cottage is a detached former agricultural building that has been converted into a delightful 1 bed cottage and is ideally situated to explore the many attractions located in this beautiful part of Kent.
Just off the beaten track but with quick and easy access to the main road and motorway
Standing in its own grounds the front door leads to a bright living area with a bathroom off to the front and a modern well equipped kitchen to the rear, overlooking the large private garden. A narrow wooden staircase leads to the double bed on a mezzanine level - please note this sleeping area is not therefore suitable for those with mobility issues. There is also a double bed settee in the living area.
Off road parking is available next to the cottage and patio furniture and BBQ are available.
Only a few steps from the front door is the first of many footpaths that will lead you into the Weald of Kent or if you prefer to venture further afield, EuroTunnel & Ferry Ports are only a short drive away for a day trip to France not forgetting that it’s just a 40min train journey from Ashford station to London.
Pet friendly. Please inquire before booking if you wish to bring your pet.
Welcome basket on arrival
All of the energy/heating supplied to the cottage is electric. Due to the huge increases in Electric charges we have introduced a fair usage policy to cover excessive use of heating and electric vehicle charging.
Upon your arrival and departure a meter reading will be taken, a £15 per day allowance will be given which should cover most people's needs. Anything above this will need to be paid at departure or deducted from any deposit.
Located in Ashford, this cottage is in a rural area. The Dolls House and Ashford Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Crypt of St. Leonard and Dymchurch Martello Tower. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Folkestone Racecourse or BuildKent Stadium. Jet skiing and sailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain biking and cycling nearby.
