The cottage is ideally situated in the heart of the lively village of Windermere, with a fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants and independent shops just metres away. A fabulous base for keen walkers, the shore of Windermere is just a mile away. From here you can catch a steamer, cruise across the lake, and visit Beatrix Potter s house at Hill Top (4.5 miles by steamer). Other local attractions include The World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness on Windermere (1 mile), the Lakes Aquarium at the southern tip of Windermere (10 miles) and Brockhole on Windermere (2.5 miles), which is home to a historic house and gardens, with plenty of activities including a treetop trek, boating, kayaking, archery and mini golf. Entering this airy, stylish and welcoming property, a staircase leads you up from the ground floor to the first floor landing and into the main open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
