The small, friendly village of Backworth was designated a conservation area over 40 years ago and has both Roman and 12th century connections. The village also offers a convenience store and pub and has a10 hole golf club and beautiful parkland. The city of Newcastle is just 10 miles away, where you can enjoy a river cruise to the North Sea, and you will be a short drive from the beautiful beaches of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth on the glorious North East coast. Among many other highlights of this fantastic region are the Angel of the North, Hadrian s Wall, the Sage in Gateshead, the Beamish Museum, the Gibside 18th Century Estate, St James Park and the beautiful city of Durham. On entering this beautiful holiday cottage you will find yourself in the welcoming and elegant lounge. With feature fireplace, traditional wood burner, comfy seating, TV and DVD, this is a lovely and bright space ideal for relaxing in after a great day out. Exploring this lovely property further you will find a spacious and charming dining area. Heading into the stylishly designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with a gas oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. The tumble dryer is housed in the nearby utility cupboard. You will also find a delightful sun room overlooking the tranquil garden where you can sit back and unwind. Going upstairs you will find three comfy bedrooms. There s a master bedroom with double bed, a twin room and a bunk bedroom. You will also find a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC, as well as a shower room also with WC. Stepping outside, you can relax and dine alfresco in the pretty garden which has a patio and space to sit out and enjoy the view.
