The Antlers is a mid-terrace cottage found in the market town of Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, boasting four bedrooms and enjoying a fabulously central location. Perfect for a large family or group of friends coming together for a week or weekend, this Scottish Borders cottage is within easy reach of Berwick-upon-Tweed as well as the northern areas of the Northumberland National Park. Be welcomed into the hallway and find the homely sitting room, with a large sofa and several armchairs to relax in amidst your loved ones, you can wind down before the electric stove-effect fire, adding a classic cottage feel, and enjoy some evening TV. A large electric range oven with a gas hob sits in the kitchen/diner, so you can rustle up delicious meals and dine at the dining table when you're not tasting the delights of the local pubs and restaurants. To the back of the property you can find a gravel garden with furniture which receives lots of sun throughout the day. Head upstairs to find the four bedrooms, including a double with an en-suite shower room, another double, a twin room which has zip/link beds able to be a king-size on request, also with an en-suite shower room, and finally another twin room. All the bedrooms feature pleasant decor and plenty of storage for your things. Completing the property is the family bathroom, where a beautiful slipper bath with hand-held shower will allow you to enjoy a relaxing soak. Just next door to The Antlers is a Co-Op shop so you can pick up any essentials, while the nearest pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. Just outside the town is The Hirsel, an estate home to a mansion within beautiful grounds, you can learn of the estate's history within the museum, head to the arts and crafts centre to browse some beautifully made items, or enjoy afternoon tea in the tearooms. The River Tweed is close by and offers a simple way to explore by walking or cycling along the banks. Visit the northernmost town in England, Berwick-upon-Tweed and delight in the rich history and beautiful scenery here; walk around the town's Elizabethan walls, view the Berwick's three bridges including the iconic Royal Border Bridge, and head to Berwick's Barracks and The Main Guard to learn of the local history. Keen walkers won't want to miss the opportunity to visit the Northumberland National Park, with the northern area being home to The Cheviot, the highest point in the park, commanding panoramic views of the region.
