There s plenty for all to enjoy here on the hillside: a lazy morning strolling through the woodlands, taking in some of the wildlife and rare sheep breeds, or simply admiring the views. The area is well served for walking, join the Offa s Dyke Path (10 miles), or tackle Hay Bluff (14 miles) and the Black Mountains. For keen anglers, the River Wye is only 7 miles away where you can enjoy coarse fishing with a day permit. For more fun on the water, hire a canoe locally from Hereford Kayak Canoe at Preston on Wye (7 miles). A trip to the vibrant market town of Hay on Wye (12 miles) is a must, where you can pick up local produce from a farmer s market, browse the independent shops or relax and enjoy a director's choice movie at Booth s Cinema. The Hideaways are set into the hillside, where you will get a glimpse above the fields as you approach the driveway. The site is traffic free, so guests can enjoy the walk up to the hideaways via beech lined pathways that open into a private landscaped space. Small carts are provided for the luggage. The hideaway is glass fronted to ensure the best views, step inside the open plan living space, cleverly configured with entertaining in mind. All furniture has been handmade and finished with bright colours and soft furnishings. A well equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher. For dining, there is a table and chairs suitable for six where you can dine in style whilst enjoying the views. Relax in the lounge area with sofas and Smart TV. When the day is done, you will find three bedrooms: a choice of two double bedrooms both enjoying a fully glazed front with stunning views; and a bunk bedroom with bespoke built bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with a walk in shower, free standing bath, and WC and a separate WC. Outside, the hideaway has a decked terrace area that benefits from an architectural curve creating a private space. There is a hot tub where you can enjoy soaking after a day of exploring, and for dark skies, you can step down to the fire pit, toast marshmallows and gaze upwards.There is a 1 mile woodland walk behind the hideaways through the owners private woodland. There is off road parking at the base of the hill for two cars along with storage for bikes.
