Woodcutters is a luxurious and fully-equipped cabin located in a tranquil valley just 1.5 miles from Bantham beach in Nr Kingsbridge, Devon. This charming retreat accommodates up to six guests, making it ideal for families, though the loft bedroom is best suited for children or teenagers. The cabin offers a perfect escape from the daily grind while remaining close to the popular tourist attractions in the South Hams area. The nearby Bantham beach is renowned as a surfer's paradise, and visitors can explore the stunning coastal path that offers breathtaking scenery and numerous beaches and coves to discover.
Situated within Buckland Park, one of only six privately owned cabins, Woodcutters is meticulously managed and maintained by its owners to ensure a high standard of comfort. Upon entering through double doors, guests are greeted by a cozy lounge furnished with a sofa, three chairs, a TV/DVD, and a wood-burning stove, creating a warm ambiance for chilly evenings. The open-plan kitchen, elegantly decorated, features a pine dining table with six chairs, along with essential appliances including a fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, and washing machine, making it a convenient space for meal preparation.
The cabin includes spacious twin and double bedrooms, each equipped with ample storage, bedside cabinets, and electric wall heaters for added comfort. A large bathroom features a bath with a shower overhead, a WC, a washbasin, and an electric heated towel rail. A unique feature of the cabin is the space-saver stairs leading to a large twin bedroom/playroom, which boasts Velux windows offering picturesque views of the hillside, although it is not suitable for infants or small children.
Outside, guests can enjoy a secluded sunny private garden complete with a picnic table, perfect for evening relaxation while taking in hillside views and the soothing sounds of a nearby stream. The rural setting of Kingsbridge provides access to cultural highlights such as the Brownston Art Gallery and Salcombe Maritime Museum. For those seeking adventure, nearby attractions include the Woodlands Family Theme Park and opportunities for windsurfing, sailing, hiking, and cycling, ensuring a diverse range of activities for all interests.
