Sample some mint cake in Kendal (2 miles) or take a visit to the castle before stopping for a meal at one of the restaurants and pubs. Windermere is just 7.5 miles away and you could spend hours strolling the shores of the lake or going on a boat trip. Beatrix Potter s Hill Top house is across the lake near Hawkshead (18.5 miles) and you can even walk in her footsteps along her favourite trail. Fell Foot Park (19 miles) is ideal to take the kids and seasoned hikers can attempt some of the more challenging walks from there. Step inside and you ll feel the warm welcome of the property. The kitchen diner is fresh and bright with contemporary cabinets and everything you need to cook up hearty meals, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. There s also a dining table positioned by a window to take in lots of light. The lounge has an elegant feel with clean, crisp decor and thoughtful homely touches. Curl up on the sofa in front of the TV and the wood burner effect gas fire or simply gaze out of the French doors to the grounds beyond. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king size bed and has a tranquil feel with pops of colour in the soft furnishings. There s an en suite shower room too. The delightful double bedroom has views over the surrounding countryside, while the single room is a cosy haven for a child or single person. Completing the first floor is a pretty bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, there s a private patio to enjoy an al fresco lunch on looking out at the views. You ll also find a small storage room that s ideal for hanging wet walking gear or storing bikes. Shared with four other properties, there s a wonderful, shared garden to take advantage of. There s off road parking for two cars.
