Town: This village and civil parish is in the Richmondshire area of North Yorkshire, which is close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale AONB. Catterick Bridge is home to Catterick Racecourse, one of the busiest in North Yorkshire. Catterick Bridge has been home to horse racing since the mid-17th century.
