Additionally, the stunning Exmoor National Park is just a short drive away, providing ample opportunities for scenic walks and cycling, while the beautiful beach at Westward Ho! is easily reachable within thirty minutes by car.
Access to the lodge is gained via three external steps that lead to a private veranda, welcoming guests into an open-plan living area. This inviting space combines a lounge, kitchen, and dining area, where comfortable sofas are arranged around a sleek stainless steel woodburner, perfect for cozy evenings. The living area is equipped with a Smart TV and offers lovely views of the surrounding grounds. The kitchen/diner is thoughtfully designed with a table that seats four and comes fully equipped with modern appliances, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, ensuring guests have everything they need for a relaxing stay.
The lodge features two well-appointed bedrooms, each designed to provide a light and airy ambiance with wooden floors and tasteful pine furnishings. The first bedroom is a spacious king-size room complete with an en suite shower room and WC, while the second bedroom is a charming twin room. A separate bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC, accommodating the needs of all guests. Outside, the property boasts two elevated patio areas, one accessible from the lounge and the other from the dining area, both furnished with a table and chairs, a BBQ, and comfortable loungers for relaxation. The surrounding woodland garden and the scenic lakes further enhance the outdoor experience, providing a perfect backdrop for unwinding in nature.
Designed for privacy, the lodge is strategically positioned away from the main farmhouse on the southern side of the lake, ensuring a peaceful retreat for guests. Ample parking is available outside the lodge for convenience. However, it is important to note that fishing access to the lakes is not permitted when booking this accommodation. Overall, this lodge offers a perfect blend of comfort, modern amenities, and natural beauty, making it an ideal getaway for families or couples looking to explore the enchanting landscapes of Devon and Exmoor.
