There is a general store where you can pick up some necessities, as well as a bar and restaurant called The Lookout Restaurant & Lounge where you can enjoy a cold one and some home-cooked dishes. The ruins of Castle a Dinas and the monolith at St. Breock Downs can be found on the outskirts of the settlement, providing an opportunity to learn about and appreciate local history. Visit Saint Columb Major to surf the waves at Watergate Bay and to sample the local fare at one of the town's many cosy pubs with an open fire. Newquay is a thriving town with a zoo and an aquarium full of unique sea life. Visit the fantastic Eden Project and the charming town of Wadebridge, which is home to a number of locally owned eateries and the beautiful Camel Trail.

Located in St. Columb Major, this lodge is in a rural area and on a lake. Padstow Museum and Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Camel Cycle Trail and Padstow Harbour. Eden Project and Retallack Water Sports are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling nearby.
