The estate's garden attracts an array of wildlife, including butterflies, red squirrels, barn owls, and woodpeckers. Visitors may also witness para-gliders launching from nearby Haddon's Pit or catch a glimpse of a Spitfire flying overhead, adding to the unique experience of staying at the hut.

Travelers can take the Wightlink passenger ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier Head, followed by a ride on the charming little red Island train to Shanklin. From there, a 20-minute walk or a quick taxi ride will lead them to the cabin.
