The village has a fabulous fenland nature reserve, which is home to the Hawk and Owl Trust; the whole site is accessed via a Broadwalk and is a super place to observe a wide variety of bird and wildlife. Burnham Market and Holkham are easily accessible and Fakenham offers a variety of shopping opportunities, cinema and bowling centre. The village has two pubs both of which serve good food. National Cycle Route 2 runs through the village and the surrounding quiet lanes, eventually ending at Wells-next-the-Sea.
