Located between the market towns of Penrith and Keswick, both within 10 miles, there are plenty of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants near this cottage. Set within the Lake District National Park, the beautiful Ullswater is only 6 miles away where you can enjoy paddleboarding or take a trip on a steamer and visit Aira Force waterfall. A mile away is Rookin House Activity Centre where you can take part in numerous activities, including horse riding, archery, clay pigeon shooting, and go carting. Visit the Lakes Distillery or visit the North Lakes Zoo, where you can see zebras, alpacas, and lemurs (both within 17 miles). The more adventurous might prefer to experience the views from Sharp Edge on Blencathra, less than 5 miles away, or Striding Edge on Helvellyn (9 miles). As you enter this reverse level property, you will walk through the hallway and find a spacious king size bedroom with views across Blencathra. There is a Jack and Jill en suite with a shower and WC, which can also be accessed from the hallway. Head up a couple of stairs and you will find a pretty twin bedroom with an en suite shower room with WC. This bedroom also has views over Blencathra. Heading up to the first floor, you will find a spacious open plan lounge and kitchen area. The lounge is full of character and charm with stone walls and original beams, and has a cosy seating area with Smart TV. The kitchen has a large breakfast bar to enjoy a meal or chat over a glass of wine while preparing dinner, however, you may prefer a meal and some local ales in the country pub which is on site. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and an under counter fridge with a small freezer compartment. The on site pub has a beer garden for you to enjoy if you fancy sitting outside, and there is parking for up to two cars.
