Guests can enjoy the nearby Tamar Lakes, which are within walking distance and feature a variety of outdoor activities such as scenic walking trails, cycling routes, sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking. Additionally, the picturesque town of Bude, known for its sandy beaches, tidal pool, and vibrant shops and cafes, is just a short drive away, making it an ideal location for a relaxing getaway.
The cottage itself is a beautifully converted barn that boasts an open-plan living area designed for comfort and style. The spacious lounge, kitchen, and dining area feature elegant wooden and slate flooring, creating a warm atmosphere. The lounge is equipped with two cozy sofas, a TV/DVD, and a wood burner, complemented by French windows that open directly into the garden. The dining area includes a wooden table that comfortably seats four, while the well-appointed kitchen comes complete with modern appliances including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, with easy access to the front of the property.
Accommodation is provided on the first floor, featuring two well-appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom is a luxurious king-size room that includes its own TV and an en suite bathroom, which is fitted with a bath, a separate shower, and a WC. The second bedroom is a charming twin room, also with an en suite shower and WC. For added convenience, a cloakroom with a WC is located on the ground floor, ensuring that guests have all the amenities they need during their stay.
Outside, the property features an enclosed shingle garden, complete with seating and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Guests will also benefit from private parking for two cars and the opportunity to exercise their dogs in the owners' field. This cottage not only offers a comfortable and stylish living space but also serves as a wonderful base for exploring the stunning attractions of the South West, including Tintagel Castle, the charming fishing village of Port Isaac, and the breathtaking landscapes of Bodmin Moor.
