It is perfectly placed just a short walk from the Cambrian Coastal Way where guests can access and explore some beautiful walks or take the short walk to Humphrey Head to discover a lovely coastal walk.. Allithwaite has a great local pub serving good food and local ales which is located just 150 yards from the entrance to the park. It also has a small village shop and post office. Just 2 miles to the east you’ll find the popular seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands with a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and lovely walks both along the seafront and also around the parks. If you fancy a round of golf, the golf course is just 3 miles away. To the north you’ll reach the southern tip of Lake Windermere in just 8 miles; here you can take a ride on the Haverthwaite Steam Railway which connects seamlessly to the famous steamers on Lake Windermere offering pleasure rides to Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside daily.
