Seven miles from the property is Claife Heights, a purpose built viewing platform which avoids magnificent views over Lake Windermere. This property is an elegantly converted barn, sleeping two people. On entering the property, coats and boots can be left in the shared hallway, before going through to the main living space, which is a spacious room with lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is tastefully styled and well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The spacious lounge area has a high vaulted ceiling, a wood burner, two comfortable sofas, a TV and DVD player, and is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing or hiking. At each end of the room staircases lead to the galleried areas. The area above the lounge has been made into a wonderfully sunny seating area which looks over the gardens and makes the perfect place to enjoy a drink, be it a glass wine or a morning coffee, there is also a handy desk here, should you need to keep up with work. A separate staircase leads from the main living space to the second gallery, where guests will find the king size bedroom. The property s bathroom has a bath, shower, and WC. Outside, guests have use of the five acres of shared gardens, with seating areas and views over the surrounding the countryside. Off road parking is provided and there is also secure bike storage available.
