The National Trust property, Castle Drogo is just nine miles away, a stunning country house with beautiful Lutyens designed garden, and children s Bunty House with its own miniature garden. The market town of Okehampton is a few miles away from the property, offering a range of shops and takeaways, whilst the cathedral city of Exeter is a thirty minute drive to the south east. You can also take advantage of the owner's on site beauty treatment room which offers a range of treatments (please book directly with the owner) The front door of this single storey barn conversion cottage opens straight into the spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, the stylish heart of the property. The vaulted ceiling, exposed stone walls, and the cosy wood burner add to the room s authentic atmosphere, whist the deep sofas invite guests to sit back and relax with a book, or in front of the Smart TV/DVD. Behind the lounge area, the contemporary kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The bedroom has been lovingly styled to provide a restful retreat with a double bed and TV, a walk in wardrobe, and an en suite shower room with WC. There are even bathrobes provided! Outside, there is an elevated decked patio area to the rear of the property, which has garden furniture and a BBQ. Steps from this area lead down to a lawned garden, where the private hot tub is situated; a fantastic place to lie back and unwind in the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, there is a large shared garden for guests to enjoy, which leads right down to the onsite fishing lakes, which are stocked with carp, tench, and roach. A children s play area with swings, slide, and a sand pit, provides entertainment for younger guests, whilst it is also possible to visit the resident animals and help to collect eggs from the chickens. There is off road parking provided, as well as secure storage for bikes, etc.
