Turley Farm, situated in Hailey, Oxfordshire, is a picturesque retreat located just 10 miles west of Oxford and on the edge of the stunning Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This idyllic farm offers accommodations for up to eight guests across four bedrooms, featuring a renovated barn and a studio bothy, alongside a newly introduced glamping facility. The property is a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, surrounded by lush woodland and fields, providing an environment where the sounds of nature, such as woodpeckers and buzzards, take precedence over technology and noise.
The glamping site consists of four spacious 5-meter bell tents, each equipped with two twin beds that can be converted into comfortable doubles. For families, there are optional Thai mattresses available for children, enhancing the camping experience. While the tents come with duvets and pillows, guests are advised to bring their own sheets, duvet covers, and towels. Each tent features its own fire pit and cooking utensils, with firewood provided, although guests should bring charcoal for cooking. A central HQ cabana serves as a communal area, offering an electric hob, kettle, and dining space, perfect for when the weather is less than ideal.
One of the main attractions at Turley Farm is the natural swimming pond, which is free from chlorine and chemicals, making it a delightful spot for families, especially children who can enjoy splashing around in a safe and natural environment. The farm is also home to a variety of friendly animals, including a sociable Boxer dog named Hilda, who loves interacting with guests, particularly children. However, to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, the farm does not allow guests to bring their own pets and does not host parties.
For a seamless and enjoyable stay, guests are encouraged to bring essential items such as towels for swimming and showering, toiletries, sleeping bags for children, and warm clothes for cooler evenings. The campground is conveniently located near notable landmarks like Blenheim Palace and North Leigh Roman Villa, with opportunities for outdoor activities at Witney Lakes Golf Course and along the Thames Path. Nearby attractions such as Crocodiles of the World and Cotswold Wildlife Park further enhance the experience, making Turley Farm a perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation and adventure in the heart of the English countryside.
